Please don't judge me Ok, no entries for a few days. I did arrive back home with mark in tow Saturday night but we crashed out, Sunday we had a lazy day and in the evening I had to get things all sorted for work today. I also watched the film The Notebook which I recommend to everyone, unless you've alrady seen it, but I loved it. I had read the book by Nicholas Sparks a couple of years ago so with knowing how the story unravelled I got upset. I'm such a softie and love a good old romantic film every now and then. The shopping trip was great. I bought myself a new pair of jeans, a t-shirt, a fleecey jumper, new handbag and purse and quite a few books, the most important being Beating Anger by Mike Fisher. I'll talk more about that later*. Mark bought us about 8 CDs too: The Feeling, Razorlight, Jet, Snow Patrol, Orson, The Kooks, The Puppini Sisters and Christina Aguilera. The last two have music I like on them, even though I love all the other CDs and have a huge range of music I like, I also enjoy listening to some oldies like Frank Sinatra etc. Both Christina Aguilera and The Puppinin Sisters have the style of music I like which is why I asked for them to be bought. Don't hate me! For my birthday presents, which included some of the above CDs I also got from Mark an £80 white gold bracelet and a pair of earrings. Plus a light-weight jacket which I will need when it starts getting a little chilly - I feel the cold far too easily. I'm thoroughly happy with what I got bought. Thank you Mark! I would also like to report whilst out shopping I did indeed try on some clothes I possibly wouldn't have had the guts to do before. Not many but enough to hint to my brain that I have lost weight. One top in particular I liked but I thought it made my boobs stand out too much so didn't buy it. Body image won in the end. I'm regretting it now though. Unfortunately I wasn't able to buy, and probably wouldn't have done had I been able to, the boots the I like on a website. The look really nice but where would I wear them. Honestly? Other than the shopping trip the rest of my week was pretty boring. We mostly stayed up until the early hours of the morning and slept in late, ate, played computer games, cuddled, kissed and chatted. It was still great though, I love spending time with Mark and being away from work for 5 whole days was pure bliss. I did however receive a few texts and a phone call from work to wish me a happy birthday - when did I become so popular with them? * The book. Beating Anger is obviously all about anger and how to deal with it. Written by the founder of the British Association of Anger Management (BAAM) it is a simple book for those who have difficulty in dealing with their own or other people's anger. Beating Anger explains: I can hardly believe I have bought an anger management book, but from what I have read so far it is helping me to understand why I am like I am. Throughout the book the is exercises to do and it is suggested you show a member of your support network. This is why I'm mentioning this on here. Basically Mark is my support network and because we don't see each other all the time I need a way to show him the results from my exercises. I would also like to keep a record of them for me so I can look back and read over everything I have written with regards to the book. All I'm trying to say is that occasionally, or quite often (not sure yet) you may see entries out of the blue to do with my anger. You can completely ignore them if you wish, you don't have to read them. If you do read them however, I don't mind. All I ask is that you don't judge me for using this book to help me come to terms with my anger. It is bad enough that I have to hide it from my family, so I need some sort of release. It has and will help me and hopefully the benefits will be there for all of us to see. |
