Too much, too little time How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty good, but had a reasonably bad morning today. The weekend started off well. mark came to pick me up on Friday evening, arriving earlier that I assumed he would so I was still in the shower when he turned up. The internet on both my desktop computer and laptop had stooped working on Thursday night (hence the lack of entries) so he started sorting that out for me whilst I got dressed. Turned out my step-dad had been pulling the wires out of the back of the router instead of at the plug and had then put them back in the wrong place. saturday morning, ok around 11.30am, we were woken up by my sister calling to say she had ruined the top I usually wear to work. She'd placed a new pair of her black trousers in with me white top, which had left black marks all over it. Her excuse was that the trousers were a different material and that she didn't think the dye would run. Obviously she was wrong. Mark had wanted to get his hair cut at the weekend, so luckily her phoning when she did meant we could get up and leave so I could go shopping whilst he went to the barbers. Whilst out shopping I managedto find a simliar top that I could wear to work so I bought it in a size 16, I also found a plain red t-shirt, a few pairs of socks and a new winter jacket. I have been on the look out for a winter coat as my old one is well over two years old and a size 20, therefore extremely big on me now. It just falls off of my shoulders and makes me look pregnant with triplets! I made do with it last year, but this winter I knew I would need a new one. This one is near enough the same as the old one - bomber style with a detachable faux fur lining on the hood. Happy with my purchases we went in search of ahop which sold a needle and thread. My other new jacket had caught on something and one of the belt loops had snapped at the top. It was fixable but I needed some thread. Unfortunately none of the shops in the village we were in actually sold any black thread. So we gave up and I decided to sort it out at home. Looking silly we headed off to grab some lunch before going home. Saturday evening we had some small, oven cooked pizzas whilst watching Futurama. Don't we just lead an exciting life? Sunday morning I woke up once again with a headache, although this one wasn't as bad as last week. Mark thinks is was a hangover as I had a couple of drinks on Saturday night and I'm not used to drinking, I believe it was just beacuse I hadn't had enough non-alcholic drinks throughout the weekend. Sunday we made the most of our usual routine - I watched Hollyoaks and played on the laptop and Mark played on his computer. After lunch we had our usual nap, Mark had to catch up on sleep he missed due to work a week of night shifts, I slept because I nothing else to do plus a cuddle with my man is always lovely. We arrived home early yesterday evening and once again we played about on the computers before Mark headed home. I had another problem with the internet on my desktop computer so Mark set about trying to fix it. It seems the computer is happy enough to connect to the internet, but try plaing a game n it and suddenyl the signal becomes really low. I don't know what it is but hopefully it can be sorted out soon. this morning I woke up relatively hepp, although I knew the boss was back from his holiday. When I started getting dressed verything seemed to turn on me, not only did I find out another of my tops was also covered in black from the trouser disaster on Saturday, but the new top I had bought for work looked hideous on me. really. It looked completely stupid. The sleeves are way too long, it comes to my knees (that could be a slight exaggeration, but it is really long on me!), he area around my stomach makes me look really fat and the shoulders make me looked like I'm built to be a rugby player. Not only that - the sleeves are slightly ruched/puffed so I look like I've got the face of a girl with the body of a rugby played who is overly feminine! Serves me right for not trying the damn top on, but you just assume that it will fit. Perhaps I should have bought the size 14, but as the ruined one was a 16 I thought this one would be okay. Come to think of it, the old one is a little too big on me anyway. luckily my mum has managed to get near enough all of the black out of the ruined top, there is only a slight Mark on the cuff, so I was able to wear that today. I was late getting ready for work with my messing around with clothes. I wasn't able to sew the bit for the belt on or to thread the belt back through the loops so I had to ask mum for some help. The traffic was then awful and my car was making a horrible sound but I think that may have been due to the cold, when the car started to warm up the noise either disappeared or became much less quieter. I near enough threw myself through the door to the office just to get away from all of the problems. I'd had enough and it wasn't even 9.00am. Friday 13th was fine for me, but Monday 16th = very bad. Now before I go to bed I am going to have to start looking for new top. I'll try them before I decide to keep them. I'm so stupid that I didn't think to try the top on before I bought it, I'd just got annoyed with shopping and there was very little to choose from so I had to make do with what was available. At least I have learnt from my mistake. I'll see about getting my money back at the weekend, although it doesn't really matter as it was only £9 so it's not going to break the bank. I really must get myself organised. I have money to sort out, a phone bill to pay. My room is a tip and needs a good tidy up, I have clothes that need to be thrown out. It feels like I have so much to do but I just can't be bothered to do it. I wish I was one of those girls that everything is effortless for, their wardrobe is immaculate with only clothes that fits that and room for more, not full to bursting like mine. I have emails to sort out, diaries to read, and comments to leave. One night I'm going to have to do everything and just get it out of the way. For now though, I'm going to go play a game... |
