Laziness I think I have spent most of my day playing peek-a-boo with babies. In Tesco this morning there was a little boy howling away because his mum had parked the trolley a little too far away from the checkout andso he wasn't able to reach out and grab it, his fingers grazed it and he was getting so frustrated and irrate he was bawling his eyes out. I ended up playing with him from the checkout opposite, hiding behind my hands and popping out. He stopped crying and began giggling and laughing at the faces I was pulling at him, only to start crying once more when his mum left for the car park. Then this afternoon I was doing the same thing with a baby girl in the Job Centre. Normally I don't like being near babies, they usually cry when they see me. I'm one of those people they seem to sense is uncomfortable and then make it even worse. I have no idea how I would manage with my own kid. I did, however, manage to find out about the job I saw on the website yesterday and what to do with my P45; which I handed over to the Job Centre to deal with. The job I shall apply for tomorrow because I just couldn't be bothered to do it today. I'm so lazy. |
