Some good news I've got some good news: I'VE GOT A JOB! Ok, a little catch up is in order, right? Lets see. The past couple of days have been pretty boring and I've just been relaxing, organising interviews and getting a little wound up by the second interview I was having with the company I liked. To be honest I was also lazy and just couldn't be bothered to do anything either. This morning I woke up all nervous with butterflies in my tummy and a serious case of the shakes. I grabbed some "smart" looking clothes and pulled on my Showed up at my interview 5 minutes early (good impression) and was immediately dragged in to an office. I was given the thank-you-for-coming speech and was then told they would like to offer me the job. I was told I was sure to fit right in with everyone at the office, but I'm not so sure. I know I shouldn't be negative already, but hey it's my nature. Next I was introduced to everyone but I've already forgotten their names! Then I was handed over a wodge of papers and forms all to be completed and signed. It feels like I've got to write an essay about my history for my background check. Plus I've got to sign the Official Secrets Act for the Met Police - get me! And I've even managed to wangle my first holiday already - 21st to 25th May. The reason I'm not so sure about fitting right in with the girls in the office is quite stupid really. The receptionist seemed nice but when left alone to talk for a few minutes she was quite funny and stilted. I don't know if it's new girl nerves or she was jealous of the size of my boos, who knows. Maybe I will slide straight in and feel right at home. Maybe I won't. So yeah, that's it. I'm now going to be working from the 23rd April, so I have a week to do what I want and buy some new clothes. Possibly. |
