Home from home Day two done and dusted. I didn't do muc work again although I did open up my own personal folder and move bits on the computer in to there, printed some of and started to create my own paper folder too. Plus this afternoon I opened up a new job. Yippee! Ok, sounds daft. I basically received some photos, a mini camera tape and VHS tapes from a police station that had to be logged on to the system and looked at and dealt with. All in all that was my day. I started a new job and will probably follow this around whilst everyone does there bit on it, just so I get an idea of what the people in the office do. It sounds really interesting. There are so many cases they've worked on that you hear on the news ALL the time. I'm hoping tomorrow will be another good day. I'm getting on better with people in the office, even chatting to the boys (hehe) and getting to know people a little. Plus I'm being my ever cheeky self on only my second day, it really feels like I'm settling in quick. One thing I'm worrying about though is not getting to grips with all this work. The receptionist has only worked there since November and to look and listen to her you'd think she'd been there years. She knows everything about everything to do with a job, will I ever get like that?! |
