Dress me up, dress me down I did it. I actually tried on dresses and dresses until I found the right one, then I spent a huge amount of money on this one bloody dress I'll only ever wear once! Although it's a tiny bit too long and needs to be taken up I'm really happy with it. It's pink (well a couple of shades of pink). It's a halterneck. It shows of the boobs and nips in at the waist. It doesn't really have much of a back. I can't wear a bra, or control pants to hold the folds of flab I currently call my stomach. The girls I went shopping with loved it and urged me to buy it. I was really happy and excited. Then I came home, showed my family and all I got was a "Yeah, looks nice" comment. I know my mum doesn't really ever express herself so I'm not blaming her, and she did say later that I looked lovely in it, but my sister couldn't have cared less if she tried. Cow. Away went the excitement and thrill of having bought a dress and feeling girly. I cried. But now I'm back to liking the dress and looking forward to the day. Why should I let her bother me in this way, it's time I got out and dressed up a bit so sod her! Oh, I also got Mark's mask in the post today. We all know he didn't want anything too colourful or something that would attract a lot of attention to him (little did he know he'd have me in a pink dress on his arm all night!) so we got him a black one with a little bit of silver patterning around the left eye. He hasn't seen it yet but he did choose which one he wanted. ![]() ![]() Now it's just the tuxedo hire and some new shoes for him, whilst I have everything else to sort out. I'm looking forward to it now. And no, no pictures of the dress. It's a surprise. For now at least. |
