The first of the year The first day of the new year has already gone? Christmas was wonderful and I received some fantastic presents. Clothes, vouchers, smellies and lots of other bits and pieces I wanted and asked for. I got Mark a Nintendo Wii and a few games for it, plus Guitar Hero 3 for his XBox 360 (which he got last year). I also bought him some clothes, a new wallet and some other computer games and bits he wanted. He didn't do too badly really. I'm happy as the Wii is now at my house and it'll allow me to play some sports and lose some weight. I'm already aching and using muscles I don't normally. I think this will be one fun way of losing some weight. I normally round up the last year but there isn't much that happened in 2007 to write about. This time last year I was unemployed after being made redundant, but I pulled myself back up and got the job I'm in now. My health was pretty reasonable apart from the few colds I always seem to get, nothing bad happened. Mark and I are still going strong and are soon going to have our 5 year anniversary. This year there are a few changes I wish to make. I want to find out about learning skills from home, so that maybe I can further myself in jobs. I don't want to be such a doormat - it's how I currently feel at work, it's as though everyone just walks over me to get what they want and I'm fed up of it. I want to stop that, I want to better myself and although I'm happy with who I am now, I want to improve my confidence too. I have a few other personal goals, but on the whole I wish for another happy and healthy year and for things to just get even better. |
